Job Description
What You'll Do: As a Primary & Secondary Teacher, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality lessons, supporting students’ academic progress and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. You will be responsible for lesson preparation and delivery, monitoring student performance, communicating with parents, and contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching practices and programmes. This role supports and inspires students in their learning journey while upholding the centre’s standards of academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Preparation:
Review lesson content to be delivered and employ various strategies to deliver lessons in an engaging and effective manner.
Familiarise oneself with the curriculum and the materials to be taught.
Teaching:
Reach classes earlier to do the necessary preparation and commence lessons punctually.
Conduct lessons with enthusiasm and creativity, encouraging student participation.
Utilise interactive and stimulating teaching methods to engage students
Grading and Marking:
Ensure students’ work are marked accurately and in a timely manner.
Progress Monitoring:
Monitor and track the progress of students regularly, by using tools including the in-house grade-keeper and progress report.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to parents regarding students' learning achievements and areas for improvement
Parental Collaboration:
Maintain regular and open communication with parents to foster a collaborative approach to student development.
Inspiration and Motivation:
Inspire and motivate students to excel in their academic endeavors.
Professional Development:
Work closely with the Resourcing Team to ensure effective conduct of regular classes and also to take on relief classes as and when the need arises.
Participate actively in training sessions aimed at upgrading teaching skills and staying informed about the latest syllabus, educational policies, and methodologies.
Participate in curriculum development initiatives as needed to enhance educational materials and align them with evolving educational standards and best practices.
Event Participation:
Contribute to the promotion of the company's services by actively participating in events such as webinars, trial classes and talks organized by the company.
Attend various activities such as workshops, seminars, and conferences to represent the institution and stay connected with educational advancements.
Continuous Improvement:
Provide feedback to enhance lessons, worksheets, and overall teaching processes, contributing to an ongoing effort to improve the overall student learning experience.
Share innovative ideas to optimize the learning environment and uphold the institution's commitment to delivering high-quality education.
Ad-hoc Duties
Assist in any other ad-hoc projects or assignments as required from time to time.
About You:
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Education or a related discipline.
Relevant teaching experience is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passionate about teaching and nurturing students’ academic growth.
Able to engage and motivate students of different learning abilities.
Possess a responsible, patient and positive attitude towards teaching and learning.
Organised and meticulous in lesson preparation, marking and record-keeping.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues and the academic team.
Open to continuous learning and professional development.
Proficient in basic productivity tools such as MS Word and Excel.
